Connecting a Broker
Link Upstox, Zerodha, Dhan or Fyers to trade live and stream market data.
You can paper-trade with no broker at all. To trade live or stream real market data, connect a broker from Brokers.
Supported brokers
- Upstox, Zerodha, Dhan, Fyers — live order routing + market data.
How to connect
- Go to Brokers → pick your broker → Connect.
- For OAuth brokers (Upstox/Zerodha/etc.) you're redirected to the broker login, then back to Quondex.
- Once connected, the broker shows ● connected with your live balance.
Daily tokens: broker access tokens expire daily. When that happens you'll see a re-authenticate prompt — just reconnect to resume live data and trading.
Live trading is off by default
Live trading is a deliberate, account-level switch. Enable it in Settings → Security (type-to-confirm) before you can deploy a strategy in Live mode. Until then, everything runs in safe Paper mode.
Notes
- Market data works as soon as a broker is connected.
- Live order placement on some brokers (e.g. Upstox) also requires your server's static IP to be whitelisted in the broker's developer app.
